Global IT Business Major
The mission of Global IT Business is: (1) training students to realize the importance of environment and eco systems in a globalized world, (2) to consider the weak and cooperate with colleague as a member of the community, and (3) to have the skills in finding and solving a problem actively with a wise decision making skills. In order to train students with an advanced information technology in the informatization and globalization, Global IT Business gives the students an education with theory and practical exercises which combine information technology with management system. Also, Global IT Business runs competitive programs such as (1) MIS-DAY to develop the students’ cultural level, (2) sending students abroad every year to get real experience from the global environment, and (3) running the graduation certification system within department to evaluate students language and information technology skills.
Smart Management Track
Smart Management Track is designed to educate our students in such ways that they can solve ever changing global business problems, leveraging information systems and technologies. Thus our students will take BOTH core management courses AND fundamental information technology courses, so that our students can expand their future career options in business and technology sectors in global enterprises. Therefore we provide many global challenge programs so that our students go abroad for a semester for internship with companies in foreign countries or they can attend one-month intensive courses for obtaining credits during summer or winter vacation. After graduation they will be equipped with capability to analyze business problems, design the solution, and implement it.

E-Business Marketing | Strategies to deal with opportunities and challenges of evolving technology and marketing in digital networks of customers, suppliers, and employees; social and mobile marketing; different interactive marketing platforms for e-commerce; the future and strategic, societal, and ethical implications of technology and interactive marketing in e-commerce. |
Fundamentals of ERP | Students are introduced to accounting system analysis and design tools and methods. The course emphasizes business processes, accounting transaction flows, internal control and accounting information systems as part of enterprise systems. |
ERP Practice | This course focuses on developing integrated information systems for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The emphasis is on unique challenges faced by SMEs not only in developing their own integrated information systems but also in integrating their systems with their larger partner firms. |
Big Data & Data Mining | This course provides students with the strategic process of managing large amount of data, created and accumulated by corporate information systems, to increase business intelligence. In addition students will learn data mining techniques for uncovering knowledge from the big data. |
Quantitative Analysis | Introduction to the use of quantitative techniques in business analysis. Emphasis on understanding and evaluating the applicability of existing models to decision making problems. |
Knowledge Management | The goal of this course is to give you a solid foundation covering the major problems, challenges, concepts, and techniques dealing with the organization and management of knowledge with the help of computers. Critically evaluates the nature, computer representation, access, and utilization of knowledge versus information within a human context. Essential preparation for managerial, technical, and systems workers alike in today's modern knowledge-based economy. |
Business Telecommunications | The course will focus on currently observed industry trends, including the digital convergence of voice, video and data, enterprise wide connectivity, distributed computing environments, and the massive demand for Internet-based open systems. |
Project Management | This course examines project management in theory and practice and the roles and responsibilities of the project manager. The course offers a practical approach to managing projects, focusing on organizing, planning, and controlling the efforts of the project. Students participate in structured workshops where simulated project plans are designed and implemented. The course is based on the best and most current thinking in the field, particularly the Project Management Institute's (PMI®) approach described in A Guide to the Project(PMBOK® Guide). |
Business Modeling | Takes an in-depth look at the business planning process. By the end of the class, students produce their own business plans. Learn through their own business plan writing, through in-depth cases studies, by engaging in role plays and by interacting with business executives. Business plans are a critical part of any organization, thus, preparing students to develop business plans for a variety of new concepts and ideas, whether inside an established firm or as part of the start-up new venture. Students will be asked to enter their business plans into the business planning competitions in which the university participates. |
Creative Problem Solving | This course will provide a variety of tools and techniques to solve problems. This course covers problem solving models along with idea generating techniques. It explores the need to expand thinking abilities to combine both right and left brain approaches to develop innovative ideas and solutions to meet the challenges of a global economy. Creative team activities will give students an opportunity to apply the concepts, models and techniques. |
