Global IT Business Major
Global IT Business Major has been selected by the Ministry of Education as a Special Education Program and will be financially supported for 5 years. Global IT Business major is divided into two tracks such as Smart Management and Global IT Services.
Global IT Services Track
Global IT Service Track is about developing business problem solving skills based on information technology. Students who are interested in information system development, will get this skills after they take basic management courses and basic information technology courses, and Web Programing, System Analysis Design, and App Development. Students can participate ‘Linton Global Challenge’-Global Area Research Program, ‘Internship Program’ in a global IT companies during a semester, and take credits by attending summer/winter semester abroad. Graduates will achieve skills to complete tasks related a company’s database and information system security.

Object_Oriented Programming | Business application development using Java. Topics include the fundamentals of Java programming, applets programming for web-based systems, and object-oriented programming concepts. | |
Database | Introduces the basic concepts for the design and development of relational databases and database management. Topics include entity-relationship data model, logical database design, data administration, Structured Query Language, and database management issues, such as concurrency control, data security, and integrity. A database management system software package is used to implement working database systems. | |
Web Design | This course will provide a basic understanding of the methods and techniques of developing a simple to moderately complex web site. Using the current standard web page language, students will be instructed on creating and maintaining a simple web site. After the foundation language has been established, the aid of a web editor will be introduced. A second web-based language will be included to further enhance the web sites. | |
System Analysis & Design | An overview of systems development methodologies will be presented. In addition to concepts in systems analysis and design, the students will be exposed to concepts in project management, and information gathering techniques. Projects focusing on the use of CASE tools will also be an integral part of the course. | |
Web Programming for Enterprise | An introduction to the fundamental languages of the web (HTML5, CSS, PHP, JavaScript) used to develop and operate e-commerce sites with focus on Server-side technologies. Topics include issues common to the development of e-commerce sites such as mixed technology environments, security, and internationalization. | |
Information Systems Project | Students are required to perform analysis, design, and implementation of a real-life information systems project within an organization. Students work in teams using the concepts taught in the earlier classes on systems development. | |
Mobile Programming | Provides an introduction to mobile web application development. A mobile web application is developed using a combination of CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and PHP. Emphasis is given to hands on application of course material through development of a web application prototype under conditions simulating a business environment | |
Practice of Database | A modern introduction to designing and creating web-based applications. The course covers client-server architecture, database fundamentals and the principles behind writing software that functions over networks. Widely used web development languages and environments are compared and will be used by students to implement their own applications. | |
Big Data Programming | This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge for the process of data acquisition, preprocessing, appropriate algorithm, and analysis which is required to extract knowledge from the corporate big data. Students also learn technical skills of how to use Hadoop for the data processing and R for visualization and unstructured mining for text and opinion analysis as well as structured big data. | |
Visual Programming | Introduction to basic programming concepts for business application development using visual programming tools such as Microsoft Visual Basic, MIT Scratch and Google Blockly. Topics include basic computation, flow of control, data structures, classes and objects as well as integration with databases and web applications. |
